Maybe Xbox doesnt like DVDR movies. Have you tried DVDR game backups yet on the same media? If you try a DVDR backup(game) and it works then chances are Xbox doesnt like DVDR movies for some reason.

It would seem that the Matrix is not aligned properly, or you're not having much luck with DVD-Rs after 4 different ones.

Which application are you using to burn games to DVDR?
Try using RECORDNOW MAX in UDF mode w/o Joliet.

Also, you might want to try PRINCO brand media. Many people have successfully (including me) burned games using this media.
