I don't quite understand your question....but the matrix ships with out a bios. You need to put a bios on it for it to work. The no patch hack is bios dependent. So if you get the new xecuter bios and flash your matrix with it you'll be fine.

yea i really cant understand ur question too well either.  the bios is just the software on the modchip that allows it to work.  

the bios is the thing that allows u to play the
unsigned code (backups and homebrew software)

check out this Link.  its from the xbox-scene.com tutorial section.  explains it a little better than me.
