2. Also it is necessary to make a cable to be able to connect it to the LPT Programmer outside of XBOX without having to take the chip out every time you want to flsh it with PC. Easy to make, just prolonger these 10 pins with wires to the outside of the xbox-> done!!!

Have you tested this?  My initial thought is that it would not work because of the programmer not connecting well to the chip in the first place.  Fist off, we cannot use a parallel cable to connect the programmer to the pc, so...unless you're going to hold up the xbox behind the pc, it's not gonna work.  Also, adding 10 inches between the chip and the programmer cannot be good for it.

It's not...I asked easybuy about this before the chip came out. The way the chip is designed, it must be plugged DIRECTLY in to the programmer. It will not work otherwise.

1. I think one could make an external switch to change mods by removing the old switch, placing it outside of the xbox and connecting it by 4 wires to the chip.. (Obvious idea)

It's been done my many of us here.  check out the following post for details:

Once this is done you can flash your matrix in mode 4 through Evox.

Maybe I missed something.. but you can flash the Matrix without any extra soldering? I thought you could flash the TSOP if you soldered some stuff, and then ran the Flash Rom. I didn't think you could flash the chip though.. did I miss something?

Yes, with the secont most recent evox you've been able to flash the SST chip that matrix and cheapmods use while inside of the xbox.  Just, make sure the matrix is in 'write mode' (both dips off)

Am I the only one that had to attach his matrix to his pc the 1st time and that time only? All other flashes have gone via lpc bus.. DOn't understand why you'd concern yourself with connecting the matrix to pc when it should realy only need to be done once in the life of your mod.

You are not the only one...use the programmer once to flash it, then only use it again if you have a bad flash that you need to recover from.
