i found that little "test" light...means shit when aligning the matrix.  it will give you a good idea of having it aligned...but just because it's green in mode 1 doesn't mean anything.  i ended up soldering the gspot pogo with a wire and putting it IN the spot it was supposed to be touching.  90% of the damn alignment problems i have read about is that touchy little gspot.  it's a P.I.T.A.

try a #6 x 1/2" sheet metal screw; this may help improve alignment

Follow knowledgeiv's advice, it worked for me.  Make sure you clean the contacts, and watch to make sure you have a good connect on spot "g", the spot farthest from the screw.
