Soldering Matrix To Xbox

Soldering aside, the Matrix is the only real choice when it comes to LPC mods right now.  OpenXbox is too hard to find and X-ecutor2 isn't out yet.  Having done one matrix, I never want to do it again...I'll probably order the x-ecuter2 pro a few months after it comes out (when its available for the masses).

I don't know about this... I chose the original x-ecuter over the Matrix. Pogo Pins? Screw it down? Come on... An easier install is not the goal for me. I want it to work over the long haul, so I installed my x-ecuter with the pin-header. I am ready for the x-ecuter2 pro, already!

A pin header on the lpc is the way to go. I bought a v1.1 box and it took about 10 mins to solder in the pin header. The holes are already there for the pin header to pass through, just a bit of flux and your good to go. Also means that i'm ready for the x2.

By the way Gtac01, if you want to put sticky tape all over the tracks of your board then go for it. personally I wouldn't advise it....
