That switch is a GREAT idea!

btw I have done 2 or 3 tsops now ..

I really am a newbie when it comes to soldering.. so if I can do it.. I would think anyone could,, as long as you take your time.

I find .. if the connection points.. like the t1 etc..(the holes)  if those points are actually open holes.. 30guage wire fits in it snugly.. I do not know if this is ok to leave...  Of course not to leave forever but to do those one time flashes it seems to be a \good enough connection...but add a little solder just to be safe.

Anyway it all seems to work great!  I leave the wires on so you can reflash..

I have not got a good enough answer on the back  of the board jumper.. like .. I have seen the pictures but.. I just want a definent answer on ..  It IS just like the top one right?  just the 2 pads to solder together ..  on the pictures I see the red square box around the 2 pads.. but it says jumper to something else..anyway  I think you just have to solder together the 2 pads.

Otherwise great flashes the way I am doing it.

QUOTE (iam @ Nov 27 2002, 08:44 PM)
Why don't you leave the chip inside the XBOX and use it instead of risking screwing up the whole thing ?
Sure some people did it sucessfully but a bunch of others failed and I bet they regret it...

The guy is looking for experience.  Not oppinions.  Let the people that have done this respond.

anyone else have problems soldering that point or any of the others... thankfully ...i bought desoldering mesh ...and it took off all the old solder!

I have attempted it 3 times ...and failed 3 times!   I'm ready to throw in the towel unless there are tricks to this or different t1 point that's easier to solder!

any other failures out there!  That are willing to share too!  or is this the type of thing ... "macho types" don't admit too!  smile.gif    ( hey... i just don't want to be alone ... in screwing this up! smile.gif )

it's gonna take alot of Encouragement to get me to try this again!  smile.gif
( but ..then again ..that's what i said after my second attempt last week! )    jester.gif
