Jeez, Moderators can move this thread in the comedy section already, it so hilarious   .

You think we're kidding?  I am currently working on my masters thesis at yale university and this walrus tusk/matrix thing is my topic.  It could be a huge technological step forward to bridging the gap between ivory and electronics.  That is if I win the walrus tusks on ebay.  If not screw it all!

                                    its true

this is the same garbage that goes on in the ps2 scene and even the vcd scene for that matter ... nothing new here  rolleyes.gif .
No matter what you think the fact remains that right now the Matrix is the best chip on the market - period [ and not because it is a solder-less option either , so enough of this soldering B.S. Please !!! I can probably out solder 99% of the people on this forum but that does not make me want to claim that the Matrix is junk because it doesn't need to be soldered in - I have installed chips for years ] .
As far as some group making a profit on another groups ideas [ or hard work ] this has been normal practice for business since it started otherwise we would all be driving Ford cars right now [ think about it ] . If people are willing to pay for the chip then it makes little difference that it can be done much cheaper [ economics 101 ] .
__ Bottom Line : buy what you want to use and don't bash others that use something you don't like just because you don't agree with how the product came to be [ because it really does not matter to most people , they just want a solution that works ] .

                                    Well said!

The fact of the matter is, the Matrix is available now, works great and affordable.  So, why the hell shouldn't I buy it but instead, wait for a "genuinely developed" one?!  It doesn't make sense.

And for those worried about the future and the 256k limit, get over it and go play some games and watch some movies, 'cuz at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

i bet you sat there for 10 minutes adding all those italics

you still dont fucking get it do you

if something is on GNU - you dont go making an exact copy of it - sticking some pogos and sell it for $59

you call me a 12 year old ?

better than being an ignorant retard

La la la... let's see... is it worth it? Weeeeelllll... I'm in a mood this morning... sure...

Listen to yourself, you idgit... if you ADD something to a design it's not a GD exact copy, now, is it!

And that's the point... Xodus saw a need and a way to enhance an existing design. Then, yeah, they sell it to try to make a dime. Happens every GDF day in the real world. Get over it.

If you're so damned concerned about the GNU version, add pogo-pins to it and put it back out there. Frankly, the time it would take me to locate, buy and install pogo-pins on the GNU version myself would cost more than the $59 I can pay Xodus/Easybuy to do it.

But time to a 12 year old is free... so feel free to go for it, man. Nobody's stopping you. Of course, if it takes you 10 minutes to add italics (heck, it only takes me a fraction of a second)... you're going to need a lot (oooooh... italic and bold... that'll cost me) of time.
