QUOTE (atomon @ Nov 27 2002, 02:50 AM)
please help me, i've put my xbox with ALOT of wear and tear to no avail. i can't break my matrix or my xbox. do you think i should solder my matrix into place? would that help? should i flash my eeprom with a blank one? hmmmm..... theres got to be something i can do. maybe if i went into my car, drove 185 mph, and threw my xbox out the window at a 18 wheeler it would break.

EDIT: I tried my idea and it didn't work. i broke the case on my xbox  but thats about it. i havn't even managed to strip the screw on the matrix. im out of ideas. can anyone else help?

This is the shit I am talking about.  Why won't our Matrix's work like the Xecuter fanboys say it does?  I can't get mine to break for the life of me, or get it to malfunction in any way.  I am going to try the walrus tusk fix if I can get someone to go halves with me on that ebay deal.  Any takers yet?

if you cant find someone to split with you just use one tusk to secure the chip in place and use the other tusk to stab it untill it breaks. seems foolproof to me. maybe we should ask opjose first to make sure this is safe.

Nice thread, simply entertaining but I guess some people just couldn't take a joke, eh?  jester.gif

I guess it is pathetic when such an obviously blatant attempt at humor gets people pissed off because they are fanboys of a certain product.

But I am still trying to find someone who will split the cost for the walrus tusks.  I still haven't found a way to get my matrix to stop working...

I am not a fanboy.  I like all modchips.  The reason you see me posting more on the matrix is because I have one and have experience with it.  You can search my posts and you will see that I am not against any modchip.  I would have bought an X-2 Pro if it were out when I was looking for a mod chip (assuming it works properly).  The reason I post things like this is to get a rise out of fanboys like you.

I honestly don't give a shit if it was ripped off a different idea. What the Xodus team did was sucessful because it sold many units and still is selling many units.
And think about what you just said.  You don't like companies who rip off designs...  Mod chips were made to play backups.  Most people are downloading games, or copying rented games for the Xbox insted of buying the origional copies.  You disagree with the Xodus team for ripping off an idea to make a good product, but you agree with ripping off the software developers by not paying for their development costs.  You are nothing but a hipocrite.  I know you will deny this, but it's the truth.

its not about ripping any one person off

its about ripping off a GNU design that is free to the public and then profiting from it (in a BIG way)

you can really tell you are not involved in any development work

Keep reaching for ways to look like you are not an idiot.  It isn’t working!  The truth is that the Xodus team is making money and doing it leagaly, so they are a success.

The funny thing is that I created this thread to get a rise out of fanboys like you biosboy.  It's obviously working.  Everytime you try to justify yourself you are making an ass out of yourself.

To those having trouble breaking their matrix:  Come to my house.  My xbox will break your chip or I'll buy you another one that will break.

Do you have a walrus tusk?  Please say yes!  I need to borrow one, and really can't budget one into my finances.

rolleyes.gif .
No matter what you think the fact remains that right now the Matrix is the best chip on the market - period [ and not because it is a solder-less option either , so enough of this soldering B.S. Please !!! I can probably out solder 99% of the people on this forum but that does not make me want to claim that the Matrix is junk because it doesn't need to be soldered in - I have installed chips for years ] .
As far as some group making a profit on another groups ideas [ or hard work ] this has been normal practice for business since it started otherwise we would all be driving Ford cars right now [ think about it ] . If people are willing to pay for the chip then it makes little difference that it can be done much cheaper [ economics 101 ] .
__ Bottom Line : buy what you want to use and don't bash others that use something you don't like just because you don't agree with how the product came to be [ because it really does not matter to most people , they just want a solution that works ] .
