Matrix Stopped Booting Backups

Do you have a colormod or noani bios, so you know that the matrix BIOS is loading?

Do you have Evox installed?  If so, did you rename xboxdash.xbe file?

Just because you get a green light on the matrix, that doesn't mean that it is aligned.  Do you see what I'm getting at?  Sounds to me like you are booting with the original BIOS.

Please see my matrix tutorial; this may be helpful to you.

Looks like another case of a misalligned chip or bad contact of the pins. This is very likely to happen since the pins are exerting an upward force on the chip and you're just hloding it on one end. The outer pins have a tendency to lift, much like a seesaw effect. Try holding the other ends with a dab of hot glue or something.

Also, like knowledgeiv said, booting a custom BIOS/Dash should immediately tell you if you're booting the original or otherwise.
