This will not work on a v1.1 Xbox.  The special Matrix TSOP flash BIOS was written specifically to do this task, but only for v1.0 Xbox.

Works just fine. I flashed 4 myself this weekend. Just make sure you follow the instructions to the letter.

It usually takes me a good 5-10 minutes to get a successful flash. When you attempt to flash it, when you're grounding the T1 wire and turning on the system and the modchip flashes green then red and the system just shuts itself off right away, that indicates the Matrix isn't seated properly. Keep moving it until you get a successful boot. When you ground the wire and turn it on, it should flash green and then turn solid red...after which you can let go of the T1 wire. If you get a successful boot but it gives you an error screen or won't boot your custom dash I'd recheck your solder points.

Hope that helps.

You need to solder the 3rd pin (W2) to W1. What the instructions are saying is that the 1st and 2nd pins are not used and therefore you won't cause any harm if you solder the 3 pins together, but the connection is made on the third pin. However, if you solder together pins 3 and 4...then you'll have a problem.

Yes go on flash the TSOP, if it does not work you only have to pay a new XBOX, that is not hard is it?
