I guess X-ecuter Team wanted to make money off of it by keeping the v1.1 bios secert, and then offering preorders to persuade users to buy their chip. However, since EvoX released theirs, I believe they felt compelled to also get theirs out there to the public ASAP, even though there is not much difference. They still claim there will be future enhancements that need 512k, but so far nothing official.

dude i'm sure if you paid attention X2 released theirs before evox did

and so what if they're making money - you think others aren't making money too ?

the X2 mod itself is a sweet product - cheaper than the rest with more features - hats off to them I say

and you don't keep abreast of features they are working on do you ?

they have kernel from HD & ini parsing in the works - have you any idea how cool and advanced that is

all the same they said they would released their shit for free from day one - and every single feature they said they have done works so who cares if they make money or not

Yeah, its the same as evo 2.5 but with game reset, the game reset is nice.   Plus they have xbox v 1.1 support.  I think its really lame that they kept the 1.1 support for over a month so they could sell their mods... the evo X team doesn't make money of modchips and they had their v 1.1 BIOS out today after claiming to only of had a v 1.1 xbox for 3 days...

                                    the same ?

what so no auto detect of evoxdash.xbe AND nexgen.xbe ?

I also like how you say same as evox2.5 - you mean evox2.5 same as Xecuter1 (yes all those features out weeks before evox did their own "final" version)

It's lame you say - why don't you make your own BIOS dude - give credit where its due come on now

evox have only had a v1.1 for 3 days and you say they don't make money - come on some of you can't be THAT naive surely - better ask xodus who they "support" to write stuff to sell their failing product - shame on them for using 256k in the first place - when it only costs $1.50 more for a 1MB flash

well done Xecuter for deliverying everything you promised - I look forward to using an X2 PRO

Hear hear!

Totally right, Biosboy. The Xecuter team released the bios to be nice. Hell, they could have some shit set up where only registered Xecuter mod owners could download it - but they don't.

The fact that they did at all - not to mention the fact they're supporting legacy hardware (Matrix) that is in direct competition with their own previous generation of modchips (X1) - is something they should be THANKED for.

If they didn't write bios code, we wouldn't be where we are today.
