Matrix Mode 3 Xbl Question

Hey all,
If i set my matrix to mode 3 and I switch the bios, will it still recognize an upgraded drive? I know you have to boot with the MS bios for XBL to work and Im sure your dash needs to be yboxdash.xbe or evoxdash.xbe but what about the hard drive? This doesnt seem to be widely asked about how to fix the xbox hard drive as well for xbl.

                                    If you lock your hard drive.  Check out the tutorial section for info on how to do this.
