Installing A On/off Switch On A Matrix/xodus
« on: December 22, 2002, 10:28:00 PM »

Even though this is a old post I saw some where (xbox-scene), where a guy installed a switch to his Matrix chip. Hope this helps.

I thought that mode 3 would enable the chip every time you power on the system but if you power on and then eject a game and put it back in it will go back tho the original MS bios.  to get it back to Xodus you just power off and then on again..... can anyone confirm this?

Thats what it seems to say in the Manual

Don't trust mode 3 if you plan on using Xbox Live

Just a little update I installed my switches a couple of weeks ago and they work great.

If you use mode 3 it will disable the mod bios and load the xbox bios. Of course you will have to open your xbox up and flip the switches on your chip. Hopefully someone will come up with a 4 or 3 way switch to add to the Matrix that you wouldn't have to open your box every time you wanted to or needed to flip the switch.
