Matrix Install Help

Basically you got to do everything one step at a time.

Did you flash it with a colour mod? That would be a good idea, since you can tell if the bios is working properly or that you flashed it correctly. That was the mistake I made first, where the logo stayed green, even though I had used a coloured mod. I reflashed it using another bios I downloaded and now my logo is orange, telling yme that it is working nicely.

With your CDRWs, have you checked that they work with your xbox? For example burned it as an audio cd and tried to play it on your xbox? That would be another step. 1 note however is that I have about 13 CDRWs and only the Memorex ones work. When I was burning evox HD Prep to them only 1 out of 3 Memorex CDRWs could be read - which basically means I was lucky to find one that works perfectly. I did create audio cds to test the CDRWs which worked, meaning that it all depends on the DVD rom drive.

Also remember that not all your downloads will be successful, some files you download could have errors in it, where you would need to find another source. The xbins ftp is a good place to go though. Also try to find the evox dash with those junk files in it, too just make the burn bigger than 3MBs+ - some people say that it doesn't do anything, but for me it made it the dash work on my xbox - I got a crappy thompson drive.

The Blue X logo is telling you that the bios mod is booting OK.
Original games still work.... very good.
The "dirty disk/media type" error you are getting is
the xbox letting you know that it cannot read the disk.
Thats all.
You would get a system error screen and code if it were anything else.
(like the the dashboard not loading, especially After an ExoX install)

Sounds like your mod is working correctly.
Colored Bios's rule.
Colored Ybox/Evox Bios's rule even more.
They are xbox live safe and highly recommended.

Your problems are more than likely the:
Method used for burning
Media brands used
Bad Evox iso/files

You will know when EvoX boots.
After you get EvoX to boot (enabling the FTP server)
Then you can install EvoX on your HD.
