QUOTE (demarad @ Nov 7 2002, 11:01 PM)
Hey Guys,

Wondering if anyone has recieved an "error erasing chip" when trying to flash the evox 2.5 usind winLPC?

Can anyone offer suggestions.  I've checked the battery, the red light is solid when ready to program.  Is this correct?

I have this same problem I do not know what is wrong. My uncle says I have a dyfective chip. He is a computer guru but not an Xbox guru. So now I'm in the situation where I have a chip I can't use this suck balls. If anyone can help me I would greatly appretiate it.

Ok,

I got it guys.

You have to squeeze the chip onto the programmer while you are trying to program it.

It's worked for me.

Let me know how it goes.

laugh.gif  these threads worked for me, do just like they say... it may take two people, as I had my girl friend help me... (by the way she loves XBox) start up winLPC and then start holding/pinching the modchip to the programmer, click on Program, say yes to Verify, select your Bin file and then it should start to program and then verifies if all goes well you will end up with a flashed modchip. I guess it's just a design flaw - how the pins need a better connection.

Running Matrix/Xodus Modchip
and I did program it on an AMD AthlonXP 1800+

Good luck!
