
I guess had I tried to plug the thing in the wrong way, I would have found out that you can't do that. But I don't have it with me, and I wanted to make sure I had everything clear in my mind so I can do this as soon as I get home.
As for the switches/plastic, yea, I knew I'd have to remove that stuff, even said so in the first post. The point I was making is that this isn't mentioned anywhere, and I'm damn sure some newbie would go ahead and install the chip, get it all aligned perfectly, and
then realise that he needed to do this... and promptly knock the thing out of alignment while trying.
People complain about newbies coming on here and asking stupid questions - I say the best way to counter that is to make sure little details like this are mentioned in the tutorials.
