bah!! you ass!! dont post things like that. sorry but im a proud matrix owner and i know what u did wrong.

YOU HAVE TO GET A GREEN LIGHT IN MODE 1!!!!! IF THE LIGHT IS ON IN MODE 2, 3, or 4, IT DOESNT MEAN THAT ITS DEFINATELY ALIGNGED CORRECT, IT IS JUST RECEVING POWER FROM THE XBOX

re read that a bunch of times, hit yourself in the head, and make sure its green in MODE 1!!! not mode 2, 3, or 4, MAKE SURE ITS MODE 1-GREEN AND THEN SWITCH TO ANY OTHER MODE!!

grahh sorry to sound bitchy but when u put down a good chip because of your own stupidity and inabilitiy to install then that pisses me off.

PS - READ MY GUIDE!! View it... Here

Add me to the 5 min club (including installing the new HD.)  The worst part was finding CDRW that worked with my XBOX.

I got the 1M BIOS and create a 256K bios from it. Then I use a CompUSA brand CDRW (I bought 25 for just $6) to copy the EvolutionX. No problem at all. Matrix chip is great!

Hmh... Well the fact that the chip now works kinda proves that the chip wasn't faulty, the user was :)

Yeah I've had a couple of questions asked as well... "I've flashed the matrix and installed it perfectly but it just wont boot!!", to which I answer "Oh... Have you tried changing mode to something else than "Chip Disabled"?" "Err.. no." "Well you could try setting it to "enabled" and it JUST MIGHT HELP" ;))

It's funny how people so easily blame their hardware and software for their own mistakes :))
