I'm using the plain evox2.5 bios with my Matrix chip, and I haven't had any problems.

agreed ... EvoX 2.5

It's also worthwhile to use one of the "colormod" bioses to make sure that its loading each time. Helps keeps things straight in your mind, and will help diagnose problems in the longrun

also suggesting to use a evoxdash or yboxdash version, just for live compatibility =)

If you are going to use Live you will have to boot from the original bios. ybox lets you do that.

you can get a 2.5 bios with colormod , no-animation , Error screen description , no-logo , and of course ybox or evox boots [ thanks to superfro ! ] .
__ Go with the ybox or evox bios if you can , this works perfectly with Live !

i have the 2.5 bios with Error screen description and ybox, this one is not releases by superfro but i moded the original myself with fancbox.

just get the 2.5 and if you need any more features mod it yourself with fancbox.
