Matrix And Evox 2.5
« on: November 03, 2002, 02:13:00 PM »

I flashed my matrix with evoX 2.5 with WinLPC and it worked fine and said that the bios verified.  I installed the chip and got the green light on.  I have tried every single mode on the chip and everytime it boots up to regular ms dashboard.  Am I just comletely missing something?
Why can I not boot Evo X dash?
I have tried reflashing with multiple bios images, all of which successfully flashed and verified, but none will boot the EvoX dash.
Any input is much appreciated.

Thanks

Changing the BIOS doesn't modify the DASHBOARD.

Evolution-X's RELEASE has BOTH a BIOS and a DASHBOARD.

These are two seperate things!

To use the DASHBOARD you must first get the BIOS working.

THEN you can backup your existing C & E drives, and finally install Evolution-X to replace the MS Dashboard.

Evolution X 1.8.28xx

Make a NEW bootable Evolution-X DVD with the appropriate evox.ini changes, boot it, FTP to your Xbox and make any changes.
