Which Mod - Xecuter2 Or The New Matrix?

Xodus/Matrix...  Reason being that I don't have any soldering skills (or a soldering iron) and I don't want to F*ck up.  Just my reasoning.

Sounds like one or more versions of the Xecuter2 will have pogo-pins (no solder) as an option (adapter?) as well.

So it really just comes down to personal choice/flip of a coin.

Even if you ordered a MatriX now... sounds like you might not get it prior to the X2 being released anyway... so the two are virtually identical at this point in time.

Wait for the X2 chip. It will feature a bigger flash chip then the Matrix.

This could become important later on if other bios's are larger then 256k.

And no cutting a bios wouldnt work is the main section of the bios was larger then 256k.

We can cut 1 meg bios's down to 256k because the main bios is already 256k. The 1 meg bios is just 4 256k parts.

If a bios comes out that say 320k before its packed into a 1 meg file your fucked. No cutting it to fit onto the Matrix.

Its sorta like the Offical MS Dev bios's. There what 512k? If i remember correctly you cant cut them down to 256k to fit onto a Matrix due to the fact the real bios, the main part is 512k. I'm pretty sure i read that even the Matrix Team admited that if you needed to use a DEV bios you shouldnt buy the Matrix. I dont remember exactly what that FAQ said. I cant remember the URL eather.

1.) Don't go pogo pins, they are not reliable enough over the long term.

2.) Now the X-ecuter bios for v1.1 xbox may be larger than 256K. If so, the matrix will NOT work unless someone releases a 256K bios.
