Stripped Threading During Matrix Install
« Reply #15 on: October 17, 2002, 07:42:00 PM »

I stripped mine, then just used one of the screws from the cdrom enclosure, which fit perfectly. The old motherboard screw works fine for the enclosure. An effective switch.

I don't think an epoxy or some kind of "filler" would be strong enough.  The pogo pins give a good amount of resitance, so it would have to be very strong to hold it in place.

Believe me, epoxy will be more than strong enough...if you dont believe me, epoxy your fingers together and compare it to super glue :)

And when Opjose says to only use a little, you'd do yourself a favor by listening to him!

                                    Not strong enough?

I've seen new submarine hull material samples made from it because it's stronger than steel and titanium.
