Hmm, people are getting touchy in here.  I don't have a Matrix so I can't tell you what happens.  But if you yank a Homebrew out after it powers up it works fine.

In all likely hood this is the same with the Matrix, the XBox will cache the BIOS in the fast RAM vs running off of the slow BIOS.

Whats the point behind getting someone to do this? It will merely prove if what 3tlk said is true.  If you are that bothered perhaps you should buy a Matrix and see if something fries when you remove it mid flow.

While your at it place the palm of your hand over as many metal connections as possible, if you hold your Buidling Design Degree in the other hand perhaps that'll burn too if we're lucky.

No more shite threads please.

It think his adolecently worded point is that it's stupid to pull non-isolated electronics out of circuit while they are on.

Doing so -IS- idiotic as it almost insures damage...

The admonishion, should have been "don't do it!" though.

Could'nt have put it better myself.  So if you want to pull a circuit chip out of a machine while it is on and running, then yes, this guy is and idiot.

Ok, I'll do what he asks but first he must stick his tongue in the Retard Monkey's arse and find out what it tastes like.

He wants to find out what the chip does when it's out.
I want to laugh my ass off...fair trade.

Or hey, would someone take the chip out while the Xbox is running while sticking their left foot in a bucket of water, and their right foot into a fire to see if the left foot with the water is more hot?

First of all ... I did do this.. but hey ..if you are smart you put on switches...like the founder said, he also warned people about doing it that way...

Sencond..
I think this thread is as dumb as the SHAKE YOUR XBOX thread...Who cares, get the chip and don't try to make people screw up their box because you want to "test" something...  In fact just like "pioneer" of the enigmah technique...he tested on HIS own box first.

ok, ive ordered my chip and now am waiting. when it arrives ill try what i suggested on mY own board, if it works ill let you know, if not i'll say sorry for wasting your time and let you know what a complete tit i've been.

if not, if not.

BTW: i never wanted anyone to fuck up thier xbox doing my little test. it was a sugestion, i assumed (wrongly) that anyone who had the experince of fitting the chip wouldn't mind trying this for me. how wrong was I!!

ill keep posted, your either gonna get a big sorry or.....

waiting now, dont know how long its gonna be. yes im in the uk, will let you know.

i hope after all this arguements, i can flash the onboard bios with the matrix, one giza in one of the othe forums did it with another lpc mod. i dont believe him cus it would mean either installing off board with wires and cutting the wires after boot, or soldering the chip offer the board whilst xbox is turned on.

hmmm.
keep updated.
