If u wanna flash it then take it out its the enigmah u want, which i might add is old news now.  The matrix must remain in the xbox to overide the factory bios.

not sure this is what your asking, but this came from xboxhacker.net...

Xodus/Matrix Warnings - iretch @ 00:17 CST
A few words of warning and general saftey tips:

-Do NOT use a cable and attach your programmer to the Xodus while it is installed in the system, it will fry the programmer! Always remove it.

-Always plug the mod into the programmer before plugging it into your pc, it could damage the programmer/mod.

-Also, when installing it in your system, make sure its in mode 1 (off/testing mode) otherwise you can potentialy fry your system.

you CANNOT flash onboard bios w/matrix or ANY LPC mod (x-ecuter, xodus/matrix, openxbox).

You require a "old" 29/11 wire mod to flash the onboard bios.

Bet you were hoping to have a cheap modding solution for multiple xboxes eh?  tongue.gif

i don tunderstand why you cant flash your tsop with the matrix chip, would your xbox not work if you did it like this?

1.install matrix
2.install evoX on hd with bios.bin (your choice of bios)
3.ftp your xbox
4.remove matrix chip while at evoX dash with ftp enabled
5. proceed to flash(via ftp or menu)
6.reboot

after reading guides you have to disable the modchip (9wire) by cutting 2 wires after booting to evo X, is this not the same as just removing the matrix chip?

tell me what it is you dont understand about

YOU CANNOT FLASH THE TSOP WITH A LPC MOD

CAN NOT     CANT     CA'NOT

I have seen this answered everyday for the past couple weeks, it has to do with memory allocation for the bios, but the people that ask if you can do this have no idea what memory allocation is soooooo...

Just accept that you CAN NOT flash the TSOP (that is the original bios chip) with a LPC mod.

ok remove the matrix
boot to evoX on hd, you renamed the old dash remember.
if the chip aint there then it aint gonna  call a memory allocation then flash the tsop no mod chip installed. get it now?

btw have you tried to flash the tsop with the matrix chip? if so dont say it cant be done with out evidence, the chip aint been out that long who who has actually tried it?

its not that i dont believe you, its just no-one has said that they ahve tried it yet withthe matrix. you know taking it out etc. you are just saying that based on othe mods similar that you CANT remove easy, all i want is for someone with a matrix to boot to evoX and remove the chip. And tell me what happens.

How many times are we going to have to answer this? What do they not understand?

Ive done it with the X-Tender quite a few times but this chip would make it much easier.

How can you disable the chip after youve run the unassigned code..? I see no on/off switch, youd have to reset the machine to turn the chip off but resetting means the unassigned code isnt being run anymore.

People have cut all the wires before flashing and not complained of any problems so maybe this is the way to go about it... (Lift the whole chip off just before flashing..?)

Ive been offline for over a month and looking over the mod chip discussion couldnt see a thread and it doesnt say it in the specs of the main page. tongue.gif
