This question always makes me laugh.
As a general rule, the people who have bought this chip now (as opposed to when it is established) are people who aren't confident enough to solder one of the other chips. If you wanted a chip and could solder, you'd have one by now.
The points to bridge for flashing the onboard BIOS are tiny, and sufficiently far apart that most would just keep that iron on there and watch solder flow up the tip for hours until the fire starts.
So even if you could flash the BIOS, people buying a Matrix probably couldn't.
