I agree. Xodus has made a bad choice here. They may not have known it initially, but it's blatantly obvious now. I will patiently wait for my Xodus chip through Eb2k. But mark my words, I will NEVER do business with Eb2k again, nor would I recommend them to others. This is, by far, the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with.

Companies make bad business decisions, we all know this. But this will hurt Xodus financially if they continue doing exclusive business with Eb2k.

Its not the wait thats pissing everybody off, its the lying and the continuious lying that they've been doing for the last couple weeks. We didn't have this kind of problem with any of the previous chips, thats because the companies were up front and honest that it would be a little while longer. They didnt post on their site that the chips were instock and shipping within 24hrs, like eb2k is doing. If you want to wait until its too late to get your money back from paypal or whatever method you used then thats your choice. Oh and by the way paypals buyer protection doesn't mean squat if they close their paypal acct and close thier bank acct. Believe me i've been stiffed outta about 1800 due to paypals so called buyer protection. I bought stuff both times and neither company fulfilled my order so i filed a complaint with paypal. Well paypal is nice enough to tell the seller they have had a complaint filed and that they have 30 days to comply of else they will have to do something. But guess what? By then the company shut down and emptied their account. So i got a letter 30 days later telling me i won the dispute, but because they emptied out their bank account paypal couldn't do anything. Need proof? Heres part of the email i've gotten from paypal twice now.

Our investigation has determined that the seller is at fault, but we
were unable to recover any funds from the seller's account. As stated
in the PayPal User Agreement, Buyer Complaint funds recovery cannot
be guaranteed.

Now you must be the one to decide if you wanna gamble or not. Even if you do try to get your money back now theres no garantee you'll get it back. Take care.

Same damn thing happened to me.  That Paypal buyer protection is crap.  Oh well, I guess you live and you learn. dry.gif

BTW  I've dealt with extreme-mods before.  They are BY FAR the best internet company I've ever dealt with.  Its ridiculous how fast you guys are in responding to e-mails.  You have my business forever! Screw EB2k...misleading bastards.

Its an extra week...Maybe its because I have a job and lots of expendable income to burn, but waiting on a mod-chip just doesn't affect me much.

While I find it commendable and refreshing that someone (else) here is gainfully employed and well-spoken to boot, I'm afraid you are missing the point, which is this:

EB2K stated and publically posted, on their storefront, that CC's would not be charged before orders were shipped.

People have paid for overnite shipping; they have been charged, but lookee here...

No orders have been shipped.

THAT is the issue. All of this "kiddie grow up" prattle is a strawman, and has nothing to do with the problem.

I for one, would like the Xodus to be a success, as it appears quite innovative, and I for one, believe in rewarding innovation.

However,  as I originally stated, disgruntled consumers need to contact the source (Xodus), explain their position, and urge Xodus to...reconsider their distribution deal.

If not, I fear they will suffer credibility and foster ill will due to their *exclusive* association with the likes of EB2K.

It is only as good as the account balance of the seller. PayPal immediately puts the disputed money on hold before notifying the seller. Of course if there is no money in the account then you are out of luck. They don't give the seller notice so the seller can empty his/her account but a dishonest businessman will learn real quick to not keep a large balance in Paypal or it may get taken in dispute.

You knever know, the major major size of modders out there...trick them with a fake chip scam and mension Easybuy...as they pre-order get everyone fired up with videos and pictures, then while times are at the highest going down, start denying the orders. Hundereds will swarm to the site saying "Wtf?". In the end, enough visit the site to make them a nice sum...

But hopefully if the chip DOES exisit we'll hear from them soon.

Their operation is very behind the scenish...I wish they'd just tell us their sitting there doing nothing. It would at least shut up alot of "N0OB|3Z".
