Mass Matrix Order Cancellation
« on: September 26, 2002, 09:38:00 PM »

Don't rush to judgement just yet.... I doubt it's easybuy2000 solely, but the Matrix team.  Any new BIG modchip tends to be like this.  The developer's have a tough time producing.

Now, don't blame the Matrix team too much either.  They're creating a product that they want to release with minimum problems, and they didn't want the "design" to be stolen from them (hence all the secrecy).

Give it time.  Yes, you may be anxious, like all of us... but let's not get drastic.  I WOULD feel more comfortable if this was lik-sang we were dealing with... but I do think that easybuy will produce.

The Xodus team does have a great product.  I am very impressed with what they accomplished.  But, they should have thought twice before dealing with EasyBuy2000.  I would really like to see those of you who have ordered, receive your modchip ASAP and start in on all of the fun stuff your modded Xbox can do.

Has anyone else considered cancelling there matrix order.  I’m not talking straight away but maybe in a week or so if people haven’t started to receive chips then we should think about a mass order cancellation.  I pretty fed up with easybuys whole attitude towards it’s customers and am starting to feel like I should just wait until the next no-solder mod chip is released.  Easybuy really don’t deserve anyones business, they better hope they make a lot of money of this because it the last lot of money they are ever going to make.

Just a thought anyways.........

Let me know what you all think..........

Sure, let's all cancel our orders....you go first though  jester.gif

Like I said, just a thought, I'll give them a bit more time first and see what happen, I want my matrix to arrive just as much as the next guy.  I do however see alot of people complaining about easybuy and delays ect. but no one seems to want to do anything about it.

maybe a better question would be,  how much longer are the poeple who have order going to be stuffed around for before they start taking action to cancel there order ?

easybuy2000 has always sucked ass.  The main problem is the fact that they lead their customers to believe that they will be sending out a particular product on a certain date.  This has never been the case.  I have never seen or heard of them sending out a pre-order or new product in a timely matter.

I am just glad that I ordered and received my OpenXbox from Lik-Sang weeks ago after having to cancel the same OpenXbox order with easybuy2000 when they changed their tune because they got outbid by Lik-Sang.  I have happily never given easybuy2000 a cent and have now been playing my backups for weeks that would have been wasted trusting a shady and inconsistent company like easybuy2000.

Thats the exact same thing that I did as well.

drom,
What makes you so sure people will start getting them next week?  It's hard to believe anything they say since every deadline has come to pass without anything!  Their site continues to claim in stock and shipping in 24 hours.

it's not the wait I can't handle, it's all the lies from easybuy and the fact that they charge people before shipping the product which is really really bad.  They are also very aware of the fact that there website says "ships in 24 hrs" and they know this isn't true and make no attempt to fix it.  I purchased a 4 port router recently and was called the day after my order was placed and was told it would take two weeks, that was fine, i knew what was going on, two weeks later my card was charged and my router was sent.  This is how business should be done,  It's nothing new, just curtious business pratice.

I don't know that there going to start sending them next week, but it looks like they would its been a week so they probably have everything ready if not cancel the orders, I am going to wait and see if there is going to be a OpenXbox pc-bioxx solderless modchip, from what i have heard there probably will be.

I HAVE CANCELED MY MATRIX ORDER

AND I FEEL RELIEVED

(IT JUST DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT)

I think it is wise to wait until I see some reactions of people that actually got it, before I buy it.
