Does anyone know whether the Xodus chip will be shipped with the Printer Cable to connect the programmer to the PC? I would certainly hope so. No where on EB2k's 'What's in the box' section does is mention the actual cable itself. If not, we will have to scrounge up MORE money to buy that.  dry.gif

Maybe you want the Battery too, a cleaning kit and the Torx Screwdriver (no.10 &No.15). oh yeah almost forgot do you need a Tech Support Guy to go to your home and make everything?

Jesus! Just Plug the freaking prog directly to the printer port. Not to much room back there? Then remove all the things you have connected and program the chip. You just need to do that once. So i dont get it why all the problem...

A cable does not work.

The Matrix programmer was not designed for use with a cable, apparently, because on my setup, a cable works great with my PIC programmer and also with EPROM/Flash programmers.... but not with the Matrix programmer. I had to plug it in directly to the LPT port.

This is an electrical issue with the design of the programmer, and hopefully they'll fix it in the near future. In the meantime, you need to remove the nuts on either side of the connector on the programmer in order to plug it into the LPT port on the back of your PC.

Dunno about that one.  I have an old Iomega Zip drive parallel port cable that I'm gonna use if I don't get one with it.

I think it is just to plug the programmer in to the printer-port, dont need a cable there betwen. I could be wrong.

With the size of that programmer the Xodus comes with, I'm not so sure anybody would have an easy time hooking it directly to a parallel port on the back of an AT/ATX motherboard.  Not much room in there.  Its not the motherboard that would really be the issue, but the case edges surrounding the AT-form ports.

If its small enough, sure you could plug it directly into your parallel port without need for a cable.  Just not sure about the size at this moment.

Well, if you notice....the DB25 connector on the programmer is a Male connector (Unlike the PC-Bioxx). The DB25 connector on the back of a AT Tower is female...he MAY be right, but it just seems like a wierd way to do it I guess.
