Geez, how chinsy are they..... 256K ain't shite. It *might* cost another buck or so to upgrade it to a full 1MB. As stated above, you can't run the debug BIOS or Linux BIOS on 256K (try splitting either and flashing it to a chip, and you'll find out it doesn't work... unlike the EvoX, X-ecuter, and virtually every other BIOS, neither is 'mirrored' to make it that large, so splitting it cuts out vital parts of it, if I'm correct), and the only reason you can even technically call it a 'development tool' is because you can reflash it with a narrow range of BIOSes (all 256k). Again, just cultivate some patience and effort, and buy the OpenXBox. Full 8 MBit programmable chip (translates into 1 Megabyte, meaning you can use *any* BIOS out there), good ol' solder and wires keeps the connections on the board, and it actually feels like an accomplishment when you install it.
