(Sorry Xodus users but I am just a little mad that I soldered 29 wires and you guys just plug it in...)

I'd rather solder 29 wires than just plug it in smile.gif  It's a lot more satisfying ... like you deserve your mod.

Damn it all, the XBox is supposed to be for the 'l33t h@rdc0re g@mer', where you not only have _exclusively_ (imagine flashing red lights now) EXTRA VIOLENT ADULT ONLY VIDEO GAMES, but you have to solder in 30 wires (or 10.... whatever) onto tiny little mother-fukkin' points just to run 'backups' and emulators (like a real man! *guttural, primal noise rises from deep within the chest*). I thought all this "anyone can play backups on this console" crap was supposed to go to the (imagine an infant crying) PS2 scene where they have pretty Pro Action Replays with the 'swap-trick'.... no skill, patience, or thinking required!
But nope, now we get a flood of 'em with this damn Xodus chip (I do _not_ trust a screw to hold down a modchip, nor do I like how you disable it or how it can be flashed from the DVD... or so it says). Jesus, before you know it, people are going to want to just plug in an HDD upgrade, too... no zeroing, formatting, or thinking required!
Erm.... sorry for the ramble. But now we have to deal with even more retards who can barely read a tutorial or directions..... and, oh yeah, now the average age is going to sink another 4-5 years. Woo-hoo.

Phil,

Be proud that you accomplished something that most of these "kiddies" can only dream of.

You earned your mod - don't let anyone take that away from you  cool.gif

That reminds me.... I thought it wasn't possible to flash either the TSOP or whatever is on the LPC bus if you boot from said LPC bus. So how can you write to the Xodus with any kind of XBox software?
