I think it will be a chip on a small pcb that will be glued to the xbox lpc contact point by using a conductive epoxy.

I'd have to agree on this. For the most part, they could design some funky clip. But they still would have to soldier to one poit, or at least, attach a wire to one of the very small soldier pads. I don't think I would trust a clip to do this. They're going to have some type of glue to stick the wire to tbe board. Hey; it's not soldering, right? Only more permenant!
