Hard to tell.
Why don't you choose to install a softmod?
You will probably need to connect 28 wires to get the chip running.
With some cheap components, you can even slope from an old clock radio, you can build an eeprom reader.

Once you have the xbox eeprom contents, you can unlock the harddisk and copy the softmod to it.

It will be easier than your modchip approach, trust me.
