Having Troubles With Chip Install
« on: December 06, 2009, 06:38:00 PM »

I'm installing a DuoX2 Cromwell on a 1.6b
I've installed this chip a few times, and have never had a problem really.
But when I try to boot to the chip, the Xbox powers up for ~1 second, and re powers on.  And then flashes red and green, and there is no video output.  It works fine when bypassing the chip.
I don't really understand, I've checked all the solder connections several times.
I would re-do the entire thing but I don't have any desoldering braid...

Any advice please?

Edit: Nevermind... I went over each solder joint for like the 6th time, and it seems to be working now.

Did your DuoX2 come with a LPC rebuild kit? It looks like a small piece of thin plastic with few holes and points you need to solder. There should be some info on installing them around here, and if you don't have a LPC rebuild kit you can wire it up yourself  wink.gif
