Boy I'm sorry man I left out a huge chunk!! Im so damn tired. It only boots normal after it has ran threw the flubber animation and after it freezes. At that point I can hit eject and (only when there is a game in the drive) it will boot without any video problems I can even play a game! ??http://s144.photobuc...But I took some 4meg pics of any trouble IC spots and I have looked extremely close at both sides of the board now. And have vacuumed the board with esd vacuum and cleaned up all soldier and flux with 100% ISOPROPYL alcohol. Here are the pics. http://i144.photobuc...izon_01/112.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...izon_01/114.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...izon_01/111.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...izon_01/110.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...rizon_01/19.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...rizon_01/18.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...rizon_01/17.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...rizon_01/17.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...rizon_01/15.jpghttp://i144.photobuc...rizon_01/14.jpgMaybe someones master eye can see something I cant. Thanks again I am going to try your battle plan, step by step. And I will let yall know what has happened.Quote DarkNMatter:
WHOA!!! If that's the case, then ignore what I've already suggested. That won't be it.
If your getting normal operation with the mod and LPC removed, then your going to have to look hard at the Aladdin modchip and/or your LPC rebuild method.
I have to admit that I've never come across a fault like your's due to a mod install. But if it works normally with everything removed, then you must be doing something wrong, or the Aladdin itself is faulty.
Here's how you should proceed next:
(1) Try doing the LPC rebuild again, but what ever you do, take your time with it.
Once you've completed it, DON'T ground the D0. Leave it for now. DON'T install the Aladdin yet either.
Re-assemble the mobo back into the case, install the drives and power it up. If it works , then good, go to the next step. If it fails, then you know you've done something wrong with the rebuild or LPC pin header.
(2) Remove the ROM drive and install the Aladdin onto the pin header. Still leave the D0 out for the time being. If it works, then continue with the next step. If it fails, then the Aladdin is at fault and would need to be replaced.
(3) Now you can attach the D0 to ground. If it fails, then you know its due to the Aladdin being faulty and as stated in step (2), it will need to be replaced.
Please let us know how you get on.
