OK, so Apparantly I shouldnt take a 6 month break from modding and jump right back in again like Im up to date with everything. Ive modded loads of xbox's and never had any problems like this, but i think that can at least partially be attributed to the fact that its been quite a while since ive tackled a 1.6b. I used a duox2 rebuild pcb that i had kicking around thinking that it would cut my time down dramatically as it had in the past. Now when i put the chip on the header with bt grounded and d0/lframe attached to the chip(i cant be bothered to cut the trace at this point) the xbox turns itself on, and then off and then on and then off, and repeats, usually i think this is a bt short but i checked everything out and its fine. When i take the chip off of the header it boots up the MS Bios. Now I'm not sure on this one, and i can't search as its down, but i think i may have left too many pins on the pinheader. I remember, the last time i did a 1.6 (probably a good 6 + months ago) that i removed a lot of the pins on advice of a friend that i can't get a hold of at the moment, and i didn't have any problems. If anyone could provide me with a digram, or a pic showing which pins need to be there and which dont for a 1.6b install. Now this is odd...., but before... i got it to boot up and show me a nice little evox logo in the corner...and now its not doing that. I think the problem is i have a big pile of chips and i don't remember which one has which bios on it. I will try one more, but also wait for the digram. I will also go over the rebuild again.
Cheers,
