You can either get yourself a 29 wire mod chip to reflash your TSOP.  Or just use a dual bios chip and flash one bank with a retail bios and then flip it over when you need to play live.

Like I said before, sounds like your tsop wink.gif

...Best bet is to do what HackDaBox said. And yes, you can boot a retail bios from the chip and use it to go on live without getting banned.

If you get a regular duox2 (2 banks, cromwell or the blue), you can wire up an external bank switch and flash one bank with hacked and one with retail.. Or you could buy a slightly more expensive chip like the x2.6CE that already has an external bank switch...

The TSOP is your onboard BIOS. A modchip causes the Xbox to completely bypass the TSOP, and boot from the modchip BIOS. If your TSOP is bust, then you have no onboard BIOS, which would explain your problem. Hence why HackDaBox suggested a dual bank modchip, so you can have a hacked BIOS on one bank, and an original BIOS (like what was on your TSOP before you knackered it) on the other bank.

Forget your EEPROM for now.
The EEPROM contains your Xbox's unique code which is what they ban if you use a hacked BIOS to go onto Live. If you've wiped your EEPROM you'll probably need a new Xbox (which will of course come with a new EEPROM) to go on Live again.

Uhm, yeah.. Being able to boot to the chip means absolutely nothing about the condition of your TSOP. The TSOP is the chip on the motherboard that contains your retail bios. Booting from LPC bypasses this chip, and is why you're able to boot ok from a chip and not from the tsop.

If your eeprom was shot, your xbox wouldn't even boot to a hacked bios (unless that bios has an embedded eeprom); it would likely just flash red at you. Since you can boot to a hacked bios no problems, I doubt it's your eeprom.

Flippin 'eck.. Read!

You have a DuoX2 Lite. This has 1 bank. Therefore you can have one BIOS on this chip. You say you want to go on Live. Therefore you must flash a RETAIL BIOS to this bank.

All is good, all is well, Live works, but you have not got a hacked Xbox any more as you only have a retail BIOS (this may be all that you want, if so - great).

If you care about a hacked BIOS, then you will need to get a new chip that enables you to have TWO BIOS' on the chip at the same time, with a switch to choose between.

I Would give up my modded bios for some retail bios! But....someone told me that its impossible to flash some  retail bios.   Sure, if flashing retail bios was possible show me the way!!!! I would give up a modded xbox for xbox live!

Grab the right retail kernel version for your xbox from the usual places, resize it to 512k and flash. Done.

No remote way.  You can use a 29 wire mod chip, or read on a few tricks you can do with a DuoX2 that might work.  But your easiest bet is to get a dual bios chip and flash 1 bank with the retail bios, the other with the hacked bios, then just switch back and forth depending on what bios you need.
This is also the same suggestion that was given to you many posts ago.  Live with your mistake and suck it up and get yourself a dual bank mod chip and stop whining for an easier/cheaper solution.... because there isn't one.
