well you install the chip on the LPC connect bt pad to G on the chip
you would connect the switch as shown below.
CODE

  \   ----  Ground
   \  ----  D0 on motherboard
      ----  nothing

switch up would enable the chip (conenct d0 to ground)
switch down would disable the chip - normal boot

I'm sorry, I really suck at diagrams like that.

So, the switch will have 3 legs.  your saying one will connect to ground, and the middle will connect to d0?

Also Xtender will boot to the last drive used, so you can boot up with the specific drive you want then turn the xbox off..Then boot with the chip On or Off and it will boot to that drive (hope that made sense).

But its probably easier to install the switch....D0 from the motherboard goes to the middle connection on the switch and Ground (just run a wire from any screwhole) goes to one of the end connections on the switch)

one more question, a dpdt switch has 6 legs like:

- - -
- - -

is it possible to use this type of switch for this app? if so which of the legs does the middle D0 connect to? and the ground? I only ask this becuase that switch is  readily available to me.  Thanks again.

Good Update!!

I've installed the mod per everyones instructions with a DPDT switch! When I hit the switch one way, it boots to the Xecuter bios and boots to the UIX dash with mod chip light blinking.  However, I put the switch the other way and it boots to MS dash just like I wanted but the light still blinks on the MC.  Is the MC actually disabled? Is this safe for XLive?

Since BT is connected to PinG/9(3.3V)  the chip is always On so it will blink everytime. Chip is getting volts but the Bios on it is not being loaded, only the Xbox bios.

Yes..The chip is getting power but if D0 is not grounded then its not booting from the LPC, so as far as MS cares you are running there Bios from there TSOP chip.
