No color confirmation but we are close and looking at white. The socket is just an 18 pin LP dip but orders on the pre-order basis will most likely have all that complete. We are moving as fast as possible. I'll have new stuff daily.

I kinda like the way i haxXoreD the Noobs web cam to send me their picture during their frustrating install.

Ya I spent hours on those sunglasses on that sun alright.

There is a slight manufacturing delay I learned about this morning nothing too serious and shouldn't affect the demos.

hey folks,

i've got an unpopular point of view about this 'new' chip.
first of all, its not new, the components are nothing new and the layout is mostly copied from older aladdins.
user posted imageuser posted image

moreover there MUST be solution to get older aladdins work with a lframe life time saving.
im pretty sure that newer aladdins are also able to prevent the lframe death. i guess that some retracing should make this work.
but this thesis only work if hippo is right with the lframe death prevention.

I personally wont believe this as no independent like CatDog2 will check it. the reason is quite simple. at the beginning of the lframe death thesis duox and xenium claimed that their chips wont be affected to this. but its proofed that the lied.

when this chip works its kinda revolutionary because after some research it should be possible to update the aladdins on this.

im not making the chip bad. i just want you to think about it.

Well let's check the things SundayChip has and Aladdin doesn't:

1: Lframe grounding prevention(LS pad)**
2:IR kit
3: NVRAM
4:Better CPLD Code
5:Built by who discovered first that the other chip manufacturers lied  .....

LS PAD, who cares, its just a retracing!?it might be helpful to fix older aladdins yes, but its no new technology.

2. ir kit!? has nothing to do with the lframe protection.
3. nvram, also only for the ir-mod
4. cpld code is controled by the lattice chip, nothing new.
5. maybe, dunno, im not that deep into this.

maybe you should take a better look at the pictures and of what i'Ve written!

This image shows the installation on a 1.6 mobo. there are no addiotnals chipsets on it. just the sst and the lattice. nothing is new there!

i dont care what alddins can or not can. take a look at the chipset. what are you trying to tell me!? they aladdin got excatly the same chipset as the sunday chip, wait, sorry, the sunday chip got excatly the same chipset like the aladdins. maybe the lattice got some updates but i doubt that.

i really dont understand what you wanna tell me cause some more traces wont make a new chip.

allright - i took the time to find you dome reading material - because honestly you dont have the slightest idea of what's going on.

http://www.latticese...dex.cfm?qsmod=1
here's the manufacturer's page for the device used to hold the cpld code. That scentence in itself should elude to the fact that THIS DEVICE IS PROGRAMMABLE!!!!!!

The chip DOES NOT come from the manufacturer ready to run an xbox mod chip... IT MUST BE PROGRAMMED - meaning: the people with the chips need to author their own code for the device it is going to be used on....  These same chips are used in all kinds of comsumer devices - say you were to find one of these in your cell phone - do you think it's goign to be doing the same shit there that it's doing on this modchip?! (the answer - incase you can't fingure that out is NO).

Hippo took the time to author a cpld code that WORKS it's not just a simple retracing.

I hope you enjoyed making a douche out of yourself

I have a thread in the cheapmod section but the method I use for life support is something I've developed and put the work into. No one else has this. There may be some other methods but none are better than this. I've sent at least one proto out to an indepedant member of the forums and the proof is in the thread.

well...maybe im on the wrong topic but where is the 'proof'.

i am not flaming, i just want a proof on this subject as too many developers said that they got the solution to this. if you got the proof then hey, you've won a powerful argument to sell the chip and are superior in comparison to the 'big' modchip developer.

@otherguy

yeah, the device is porgrammable, like the xecuter3 which got a (fake) lframe prevention by an os upgrade. its not new to me that the lattice is programmable....
