Spider On Xbox 1.1
« on: December 28, 2004, 05:20:00 PM »

Hi all,

Can I use the Evox M8plus (not plus 16) on the Spider for a 1.1 Xbox? Or do I have to use the older Evox v3. 6 BIOS?

Thanks!

to actually answer your question yes the m8plus supports v1.0-1.5 and the m8plus_16 supports all v1.6. The nice thing about the latest evox bios is that is can be edited using evtool 1.0.9 but the latest xecuter bios 4983 cannot be edited by xbtool.

you can edit the bios to change color of the x logo, fan speed, hdd options F: drive or F: and G: drive, and other things.

you can use earlier xecuter bioses such as the 4981 and edit it using xbtool.

If your planning on using xbox live, then the best beat would be the x2 4981, it blocks live when the modchip is enabled. It can also be edited in xbtool.

Last time I checked none of the evox bios's were anti live.

I would use x2 4981

I heard that neither x2 4981 or 4983 could be used on a 1.6 or 1.6b... is this correct?
