Aladdin Live Plus On 1.6b

Hi all,

I've got a 1.6b (I think, I haven't opened to check the hynix ram but it was manufactured in October 2004), and am planning to go for Aladdin Live Plus because its cheap and I only need it to play divx most of time.

The main question is besides soldering the chip, are there any further things I'd have to do? I've read a few posts and some specify doing bios upgrades and LPC,etc... but I'm a bit confused as I've lost track of what needs to be done on the Aladdin Live Plus in particular ... and also I'm a complete newb although I have a friend who will do the soldering.

Any comments from people who have a 1.6b and Aladdin Live Plus would be helpful. Thanks!
