I have installed the Aladdin Advance V64 chip and soldered the 3 wires to the neccesary point as per "http://www.aladdinch...1.0 ~ 1.2 Bios"

When I boot the xbox it always asks for me to set time/date then goes to MS dashboard. This happens on every boot. It then will not detect the DVD-r which has slayer 2.5 and says the DVD is not recognised?

The person who supplied the chip said it had BIOS already installed on it.

Did I do something wrong or has the chip got no BIOS?

The Aladddin site said to activate the chip I must hold the power button for either 1 or 3 seconds to enable chip. This does not help. I noticed that if I simply press the power on the green LED will show but if I hold it, the LED will turn red then yellowish.

Can any one provide some info on what to try next? Could this all be from a bad solder joint? I have checked and doble checked them all and have even tried to use the alt. D0.
