Off topic, but why the hell do ppl state what xbox mods they have done in their signatures? I don't get it. Why state that you have rebuilt your LPC-bus yourselfm without a Rebuild-PCB? Its an easy task, take something like 5 mins and 50% of the ppl on this board know how to do it blindfolded. Its kinda lika stating that you had sex last evening or that you brush your teeth every night: Its not that big a deal.

Sorry for slipping away from the topic, but i just had to ask...

Regards

Has anyone had any luck getting the Aladdin Advance XT to work with an LCD?

I've set everything up, and am using XBMC, but nothing comes up on the display, I'm not really sure if I'm even doing it right but I can't find any sort of tutorial or guide anywhere.  Thanks all.

P.S.  I had sex.

alright mr aladdin,
i'll take it out just for you. i'm glad that you play xbox blindfolded all day, but it sounds like you need to get out more. to me xbox is a hobby, and with it being a hobby, i'm not an expert. sorry that my lack of skills in rebuilding lpc's in v1.6/v1.6b has offended you, i guess i just have better things to do with my time

yea i've got a stock of these things (i've only opened one - but i cant get it to work).
I'm no tsure if the sst chips are blank or not...   but i can't get the damn thing to boot on any version console - so i'm assuming this is what's wrong.
I've also tried flashing with raincoat and evox (added flash lines).
I've also tried booting a 020 chip (non A version that i know has a good bios image), but that resulted in the same, non working install.

well last night I managed to flash my XT`s. I borrowed a customers 1,4 box and flashed all my XT`s ( 15 ). ( he was in for a TSOP job ).

No problem at all: just put the XT in the pinheader with no BT or D0 to ground.

I added this lines in evox:

Flash = 0xbf61,"SST - 49LF020",0x40000
Flash = 0xbf52,"SST - 49LF020A",0x40000
Flash = 0xdab0,"SST - 49LF020A",0x40000

and evox recogniced it as SST49LF020A  biggrin.gif

damn I`m happy now....

Did you try the same thing on the v1.6? I mean did you add the 3 lines in evox.ini when you tried the flashing in v1.6? If yes, it sucks that evox flashing should fail in v1.6 because if you are an end user and you are trying to flash your Aladdin XT in your own v1.6, you are really screwed!

BTW, what is the flash ID as reported by evox, "dab0" or "bf52"? If evox reported "dab0", then you have the same Aladdin XT as me smile.gif

Is your bunch of Aladdin XT 4032/Lite or 4064/Pro?

Well I just installed one myself on a 1.0. I set it up as always on. I turned my xbox on afterwards and it rebooted twice then stayed on and fragged. Is that normal?..and how the heck do I flash this thing. I have been reading tutorial after tutorial and searching threads forever. sad.gif

Yes it is, cause nowadays they "only" sell 1,6 boxes....and they (aladdin XT ) all come with the evox M8 bios  ohmy.gif

And what everybody knows, the M8 bios is no good for the 1,6 box in the long run.
