I am working on that now........

But what we need to find out is this????????

Once the LPC Lines are repaired...The xbox frags.......Once you install a chip and ground the D0 (LFrame) It boots from the chip fine.....

Question : Which LPC Line(s) are causing the Frag.....If I can find that out and put a switch on those line(s) as well......

Im going to Uninstall my chip and LPC LAD Lines and make sure the original bios boots ok and then go from there with installing 1 wire at a time and see...

Ill post more tonight

This is very true....

And now that I think about it....In all the videos that I have seen with the 4th gen modchips they all have the V1.6 origianl bios flashed on their chip and booting from there...which I figure is an ok thing to do....But with us with only a 256k bios anyway...that leaves us out......So I am working on this now.....Will have an answer soon.....

The B1 & L1 connections of the alladdin chip are the same as all boards

No, You are mistaken.....For one they are different on a 1.0, 1.1 than on a 1.2, 1.5.....

The 1.6 is close to a 1.2, 1.5 L1 BT but not the same....If you like at them.....The 1.2-1.5 has 3 rows of 2 of those lil resitors and the 1.6 has 4 rows of 2....

Now Im sure that it might be close but you cant look at the install guide for a 1.2+ and solder it up.....I tried tongue.gif

Anyway...Im working on that now.....

blink.gif how the .... err yep just noticed it
found one interesting thing though ...
When the SST chip is in place on the alladdin board the M$ bios don't want to boot ... remove the SST and the M$ boots  huh.gif (and no guesses as to why M8 doesn't boot)

I've wired up the BT same as older boards (ignoring the 4th pair of resistors from the plug) and it switches over the chip ... not sure i got the L1 in the right spot now because it stays orange  unsure.gif

DPST (Double pull single throw) is what you need IIRC.

Everything sounds great here, but can somebody tell me how to solder the flashed Aladdin (with M8_16.bin) onto the v1.6???

I can't follow the picture posted here, is there any clearer pictures?
