I have a friend who is using a cheap mod...
the d0 connection is connected with a thin wire to the nearest silver screw base...
as i recall the when the d0 connection is connected to a ground voltage, the xbox will find the bios inside the mod-chip.

so

i'm planning to add an on/off switch
can i just cut the wire that connect the d0 and the nearest silver screw base and connected it to an on/off switch ?
is there a maximum length of wire to make the on/off signal still acceptable by the d0 point ?? (i'm planning to use an extra 20cm wire)
