and could you tell me what's written on your nvidia chip?

Some extra question

What was the color of the box your xbox was in ?
What's the man. date ?
Is that a PAL NTSC/U or NTSC/J xbox ?

Thx for the MCP info ... that was what I was looking for , not the GPU info.

color of the box... it looks like the older box's, except it DOESN'T come with the 2 free games anymore, still Type-S controller, most stores should be carrying them soon.

Also, there's a new typeface for the MFG date sticker on back, i'll try to get a pic when i can, the font is thinner and more stylish.

My mfg date is 2003-03-12

Also the other sticker (the one with a screw under it, near the front) is more of a warranty void sticker now, it looks checkered if you try to peel it off, (its also a clear plastic sticker with foil underneath, and the foil easily rips) so its much harder to look unopened now, beware.

And the long screws are now normal steel color, not black

Its a NTSC/U box, bought it at WalMart here in WA state.

[Edit]
Serial Number? for some reason I don't really know if I should post that info, due to what i've seen in the past, convince me otherwise and I might post it if you think its relevant.

Seems the info I'm giving right now is for identification purposes, is there anyway i can give info that will help to crack the rc4 key? maybe help out the xecuter team or something.

Oh, one more thing i noticed on the board, besides bios chip not being winbond, the power connector is opaque white, not translucent.

PS2 modders have been confronted with this for years. This is very easy to get around. All you need is a heir dryer and a razor blade.  cool.gif

From what I'm told Team Xecuter is working on a new BIOS for this new RC4 key in the new XBoxes. Hopefully it will be out shortly.

BAD BAD MĂ®crosoft do pull some thing like this on us.  dry.gif

So what do you guys think? Safe to call this thing a Ver1.3?

Well, perhaps not, once a new bios comes out that fixes the problem it will be almost indistinguishable from the 1.2.

I think its gotta have some motherboard changes (I don't know if the ST bios chip is exclusive to this new version) just sounds like a software update to me, or maybe a new revision of the chips, but its hard to tell the difference... Maybe we'll call it a 1.3, maybe we'll call it 1.25, or 1.2a, or b.

Anyway, the last news post I read from Team Xecuter said they'll work on it as soon as they get ahold of one... and I have no idea how long that'll take  ohmy.gif

Hope we don't wait too long.

Maybe the bastids just knocked the LPC Debug port out ??

anyone tried the TSOP flash method on it - 007 LINUX GAME SAVE THINGY OR WHATEVER IT IS
not a decent fix for dis-able mod/bios for LIVE but at least it might be a kinda work around

not good news though is it if they gonna start this crap

Now thats a good idea. I like the idea of calling it the Ver1.2b

We should either call the normal ver. the 1.2a or just leave it as 1.2
