When people say soldering the LPC holes, atleast when talking about pogo pins, if you fill the LPC holes with solder, it seems to make the pogo pins work better.

ok this is a simple problem and your xbox is in no ways damaged/ruined.  When you got your chip working the chances are you changed the dashboard - xboxdash.xbe and renamed it if launching evox.  Thus if there is no modchip, it will see that there is an incorrect dashboard and not boot.  this is why some people dont rename the original xboxdash.xbe and keep the evox one as evoxdash.xbe and boot that instead.  Thus it would work fine if the machine was booted without a chip.  To fix it just burn a cdrw full of default.xbe (a copy of the evoxdash.xbe) evox.ini (already configured), a skins folder just for ease of use, an a fake file of 50mb or so, such that the xbox can boot the cdrw.  Boot the xbox with this disk in and your back in evox, no problems and all is fixed.  When you say sometimes it booted three times before flashing red/green, this means that the matrix chip is misalligned, to correct this just put your chip in test mode, find the correct installation point and put it back in normal operating mode (or whatever you wanted).  Then you can follow the steps above - this is all on Xbox-Scene - Tutorials  There,,,, Chris

yes, i know, i can read! tongue.gif but the point is, if he had it workign at some point then he would almost certainly have changed the xboxdash to be an evox dash - when the normal bios tries to boot this the xbox  flashes red/green, this is why it isnt booting.  Just try reinstalling thats the only way forward as the xboxdash.xbe wil have probably been changed to be the evox dahsboard
