9 Wire Mod With V6 Written On It
« on: March 13, 2003, 05:58:00 AM »

following a recent modchip thread, i was wanting to know if my xbox had what it was meant to have in it, so i looked my self and found a 9 wire chip with V6 written on a sticker in small lettering  on the chip.  what could that be Homebrew or something i can find cause i look at all the mods for sale  and can't find it.

No I think that it is a cheapmod with a PS2 sticker on it,
directly from sniper/magic manifacturers,
with a hiden SST49LF020 underneath the V6 sticker.

The same time with cheapmods,
the sniper/magic was using V6 V7 for their PS2 modchips...

PC-BioXX proudly have the name written on the pcb!

I think cheapmod is a good chip... U can reflash the bios with new one in Evox when u need to... Why buy a x2 pro u dion't need it... (It's just good for bigger bioses)

It is flashable thru Evox. It even say it right there from the link, second line. SST49LF020 (cheapMods) are flashable, either thru software(Evox) or an LPC programmer like the cheapLPC.

They are actually excellent chips. I wouldn't waste your money on an Xecuter Pro. There's absolutely nothing wrong with those Aladdin chips. They work great and are flashable - what else would you need?
