Hey KAveman, is your HDD working OK? I heard HDD with 8Mb cache would not work properly if at all.

Cheers

i would buy from a good retailer instead of ebay.  too many people selling you stuff and then never talking again to u.  if u buy from a retailer, u get a warranty with them and the factory.

I'm looking for a 120GB 7200rpm Western Digital OR Maxtor LOCKABLE HD for my xbox. Anyone know where to get the best prices on these xbox-compatible drives?

I've found $120 base price for 7200rpm 2MB cache Western Digital ones and 7200rpm 8MB cache Maxtor ones on www.outpost.com

I've also found $90 SHIPPED WHite Label (maxtor) 120GB 7200rpm 8MB Cache HD's here - MODEL # GS_GEN120GB8M

http://store.yahoo.c...gen120gb8m.html

Does anyone know if this white label drive is any good and if it's lockable for Xbox?
Anyone find better prices than this?
