Do you d00ds think it will still be possible to install this chip, see the diagrams, and also the external switch?

this shouldn't affect the release of the chameleon rite?? as new bioses will be the one that will make the mods compatible with the new mobos if they don't work with the current ones

Well, a new board only affects POGOPIN connections.

What that means, kiddies, is you'll have to solder the D0, which is ALWAYS accessable via the TSOP FlashROM chip itself, no matter what.

As stated, the D0 point still seems to be there, as a VIA, just in a different position. Apparently, M$ just wants to screw with newbs and make X-S a better place  jester.gif

Thing is, has anyone actually got a mod chip running on this yet?  They may have messed with more than just the traces, maybe adding more/different security like the 1.1 boards.  I assume that the alternative d0 is still there?

If it's just a trace layout change, then yes, pogo pin chips are screwed (unless x2 release a new adapter), but any chip that can be soldered should be fine (including the matrix if soldered).

Yeah.... it's a different FlashROM chip - a 2mbit chip.

Hmmmmm.... perhaps the redesign was merely to accomodate a cheaper flash chip?

At any rate... it WILL have a D0 line.

so will this new xbox work with curent  chips?

It **should** work with any wired mod, but the jury is still out.

We haven't heard of any new security updates.

looks like a v1.1 and i see the topsite d0 so no prob there

how the hell can u say it looks like a normal v1.1, are u smokin crack? its mad different. look at the traces near the tsop chip. stop bein so ignorant by just lookin at the lpc

i looked at the traces and i saw boxes that looked the same and booted up with a v1.1 bios

Well, I think it is a conscensus, this is a new board and I doubt that too many people have seen any of them, much less many of them.

The chips are different, the traces are different.   If this board was out there in quantity much before now, we would have certainly heard something.   Calling it what we call the 1.1 is so very wrong.   Maybe the BIOS might not have changed but the physical layout certainly did.

Yes this is true there is a new version aka v1.3 or v3 whatever you call it, well its here and theres gonna be a while before someone actually hacks it, seems like that because the way the D0 has moved, if they have only removed the TOP D0 there is a possibility they would have to re-hash the whole board, because the RC4 would have changed...

v 1.3, what the ?? I know of a 1.0 and 1.1 version, but no 1.2, they can't just go from 1.1 to 1.3, that will confuse all the noobs

I think it is really the 1.2.1.5.6.3.93

How's that for confusing the noobs.

Call it whatever you want but it certainly seems to not be a 1.0 or 1.1 by physical layout (although the BIOS code *may* be the same as a 1.1)
