Nope, there is nothing wrong!

You just didn't read up on everything enough.

Your Xbox can boot to either the old BIOS or the one you flashed depending upon how the switches are set on the Matrix and which button you use to turn it on, either the Eject button or the ON button.

They now have different uses.

When you make the Xbox come up with the OLD bios, it does not recognize the Evolution-X dashboard and you get the REd/Green flashing followed by the SERVICE message.
