I am using a 74HC14 in my cheapLPC, so no problem with that.

did you try my case (2) before? how about the output voltage without the SST chip onboard? want to know whether i got a bad 74HC14P chip.

                                    I think it should be about 3.3V, but Im not sure, I can test tomorrow!

an idea, maybe it's due to the reason numbnut mentioned at the bottom of the CheapLPC page: some pcs will not work with the device.

maybe do what he suggested: add 4 x 1k resistors to pull up the four pins to 5V.

I get 4.4V when it is pluged to the LPT-port. I dont think you Pc is the problem. Have you tried the milk-debugger?

Try it on other PC's. If you cant get it to work, then it is probably something wrong with your programmer. It is probably nothing wrong with your USB either, just be sure you get 5V from it.

i got 1/4 470 ohm resistors, and im gonna use 2 AA batteries, anywthing wrong?
